The Disney Pixar Cars 2 was released in theaters in 2011. The film is a sequel to Disney Pixar film Cars, which was launched in theaters in 2006. The movie was directed by John Lasseter and produced by Denise Ream. The film was released in digital 3D and IMAX 3D as well as traditional formats. Mater constantly embarrasses McQueen while in Japan. While there Professor Zundapp and a bunch of lemon cars plots to use a weapon that is disguised to look like a television camera to cause an explosion of Allinol fuel to make the general public believe that the fuel is not safe. This plan was to get the reliance of the general public on the largest untapped oil reserves which belongs to Professor Zundapp. There are British spies that try to foil the plan but mistake Mater as the American contact they were expecting.
Because of relying on some advice that was offered to him by Mater, Lightning McQueen lost the race. After receiving upset with Mater for losing the race, McQueen berates Mater causing him to choose to go back to Radiator Spgs. Before Mater could depart the British spies enlist him to help foil the plan of Zundapp. Mater is eventually knighted by the queen for his efforts in revealing the plan of Professor Zundapp.
Disney Cars 2 Toys were manufactured primarily by Mattel and LEGO. LEGO actually made an official trlr for Pixar Cars 2 utilizing the LEGO blocks. Some other cars 2 toys include die-cast cars, Disney Cars 2 video game titles as well as PEZ candy dispensers featuring the characters from pixar cars 2. There was also a Disney Cars 2 sound track that was released which featured the new music highlighted in the movie.
