Ben 10 is a US animated series which is based round a 10 year old boy who stumbles across an alien watch in the woods. From the moment Ben finds this magical watch, which is called the Omnitrix, he is able to transform into ten unique aliens. These aliens help Ben to safeguard the Omnitrix from the evil scientists and his side kicks, who try out anything at all to acquire the Omnitrix from Ben.
The original pilot episode was shown in the US on 27th December 2005 and ran until April 2008. There are a variety of leading characters in Ben 10 who assist Ben to defend the Omnitrix, as well as the aliens which he changes into. Ben will at times turn to Grandpa Max for help and guidance after he feels it is all getting too much for him.
The aliens that Ben can turn into include Heat blast, Wildmutt, Greymatter, Ghostfreak and Fourarms all of which have alternative abilities. Ben will select the alien from the Omnitrix depending on the situation and circumstances that they are needed. Over time, Ben has mastered which aliens will be most advantageous and has his favorites amongst them all.
