Bow and arrow has been present since time immemorial and is considered as an elegant weapon. You can also practice using a bow and arrow which will your size by creating one especially for you.

To make a bow you must first choose the right wood for you. The wood must be flexible and strong enough such as a young bamboo or a mulberry. After, find a dry, cracking, and dead hardwood about a meter length. The hardwood you have chosen must be knot-free and limb-free. Moreover, choose a wood that can curve just right for you to mange the release and it will not slap on your hands. After choosing the wood, learn the wood's curve while you are making your bow.

In shaping the bow, you must have a thick center for you to have a good grip on the bow. Use a knife or a carving tool to shave and shape the wood. Keep in mind while shaping the bow that the center mist be thick and strong and the end parts must be flexible.

Once you are satisfied with your bow cut notches at each end with about an inch. Shape the notches in half moon creating it on the bows outside curves.

Now you are to select the string. You can choose from thin nylon rope, fishing line, vines, or silk. Either of the abovementioned or other available cords just keep in mind that the cord must not be that stretchy.

For your arrow, you must first find a very straight stick. It should also be dry and dead but you can dry green woods if you want to. The arrows must be half longer than your bow because is will not work if your arrows will not be pulled back to much.

In shaping the arrows, you must carve the wood smoothly. You can straighten more the arrow by heating it and pull it straight while it is being cooled down. For the bow string to be placed, carve a small slit at the end of the arrow.

The arrowheads are carved points on the front of the shaft of the arrow. You can carve the point of the arrow and gently heat it in the coal. Arrowheads can also come from stones, metals, or bones and are then attach? to the tip of the arrow. You can do this by using a string to attach the separately made arrowheads.
