The 2011 release of Cars 2 Disney was nothing short of spectacular. The return of Lightning McQueen ( a race car driver voiced by Owen Wilson) and Mater (a tow truck driver voiced by Larry the Cable Guy) see them have plans to succeed in the prestigious World Grand Prix. This simple premise takes a turn for the adventurous once Mater gets sidetracked into an espionage adventure leading to action-packed computer animated antics. The movie was released in Digital 3D and the incredibly breathtaking IMAX 3D format which added to the memorable viewing experience.
The original motion picture CARS was released in 2006 and it tapped into the grand imagery that cars and vehicles have to little ones. Of course, adults also have a love for their favorite cars and vehicles and to see them come to life in an animated feature surely had much to offer the whole family and viewers far and wide. The original film was a worldwide hit. As such, the launch of a sequel should occur as no surprise.
It should also come as no surprise that a substantial line of toys was released to capitalize on the launch of Pixar Cars 2. The finances for the motion picture was big as was its marketing campaign. The toy line definitely helps recoup some of those expenditures. Then other side, it may perhaps be the sales of the toys and games which truly do make these kinds of movies profitable overall.
To talk about the toys and games released to tie-in with the motion picture in simply business terms might be just a little bit cynical. The reality here is children do love to play with playthings from their favourite movies. And yes, there are adult collectors that would without a doubt love to add these toy products to their display. The number of products offered under the CARS 2 line is really extensive and, quite honestly, the style and design that went into these cars is impressive.
Just look at the Finn McMissile car. This is truly exquisite in its style as it mixes a sleek look from the previous with an nearly futuristic stylization that makes it possible for it to stand out extremely from other toys and games crowding retail outlet shelves.
The look of the Raoul Caroule toy has a little bit of a humorous bent to it and that is a main role of its appeal. You could practically call this item a comedy relief toy and that would make it very charming.
Collectors and children alike will certain would like to have the High Quality McQueen Car. This is a well crafted product that really has an astounding degree of detail to it. That is what allows it to stand out from the other (excellent) Cars 2 Toys.
The car that may exhibit the most authentic visual appeal of all could be the Francesco Bernoulli race car. This is somewhat 1970's in its appearance as it looks to draw a little bit from the old drag racers of the era. There are not too many racing car toys that have such a physical appearance in such a artistic way. That is why this race car is quite a standout from the others in the CARS 2 toy line.
There are some really great selections amongst the CARS 2 line. Both children and adults alike will find these gadgets a joy to own.
